CSU and UC Systems Map

Do you dream of going away to college? Or, would you rather stay close to home? You may have a lot of questions about which college is best for you, and that’s OK. It’s a big decision.

In the California State University (CSU) system, there are 23 campuses and in the University of California (UC) system, there are 9 undergraduate campuses. Remember, to be minimally eligible, you must complete the A-G Requirements.

CSU & UC Admission Requirements:

University of California (CSU) | Admission Requirements

Students must complete all A-G Requirements and earn a GPA of 3.0 or better (3.4 if you’re a non-resident) with no grade lower than a “C.”

 

California State University | Admission Requirements

First-time freshmen must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  1. be a high school graduate or equivalent
  2. complete the 15-unit comprehensive “a-g” pattern of college preparatory course and
  3. earn a qualifying “a-g” grade point average (GPA) as described below.
  • California residents and graduates of California high schools will be eligible for admission by earning a 2.50 or greater “a-g” GPA.
  • Any California high school graduate or resident of California earning a GPA between 2.00 and 2.49 may be evaluated for admission based upon supplemental factors.

Campuses and programs designated as impacted may utilize higher “a-g” GPA thresholds for applicants, as well as identify supplemental criteria and their relative weights, in making admission decisions.
